Sentinel – Participatory safety for your neighbourhood
Sentinel is a participatory safety platform that lets citizens report anomalies and problems in their neighbourhood in seconds: broken doors, vandalism, noise disturbances, suspicious events or urban decay. Every report includes a photo and the GPS position automatically detected by your smartphone, so the information is immediately verifiable and locatable on the interactive map.
Reports are aggregated into heat zones that show the most critical areas of the city at a glance, helping both citizens and law enforcement understand where to focus attention. Each report follows a transparent workflow — from initial verification, to awaiting resolution, through to resolution — with updates visible in real time to whoever submitted the report.
Citizens
Submit reports complete with photo, description and location, actively contributing to the safety of their neighbourhood.
Local police
Has a dedicated dashboard to filter reports in their city, update their status and manage critical issues.
Administrators
Manage officers, monitor statistics and trends, and oversee the operation of the whole system.
The app is available in six languages — Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German — and automatically detects the language based on the user's location, making it usable in many different countries without any configuration.
Sentinel is built on the Base44 platform, which guarantees reliability, data security and continuous updates. The service is designed for municipalities, neighbourhoods and communities that want to build a more transparent, collaborative and data-driven approach to safety.
